Jupp Heynckes joins Ernst Happel, José Mourinho and Ottmar Hitzfeld, who won with both Bayern and Borussia Dortmund, as one of four coaches to have won the European Cup with different sides.
Ernst Happel won the European Cup with Feyenoord in 1970 and SV Hamburg in 1983, and José Mourinho with Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010.
The 68-year-old veteran joined the exclusive club after Bayern beat German rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-1 to add to his 1998 European crown with Real Madrid.
Jupp Heynckes is also the second oldest man to lift the European Cup. Belgian Raymond Goethals was aged 71 years and 232 days when Olympique de Marseille beat AC Milan in 1993.
