CHRISTIAN BENTEKE is chasing a bumper new contract at Aston Villa after keeping them up.
The £7million Belgian’s 19 league goals since his £20,000-a-week arrival from Genk last summer has alerted Europe’s big guns.
Benteke, now valued at £30m, earns way less than Shay Given, Richard Dunne and Darren Bent on around £60k a week.
His agent, Eris Kismet, said: “There are many teams who have an interest. We did the transfer deal with a lot of respect.
“We hope discussions on a new contract will be done with the same respect.”
