Moyes: I’ll help

DAVID MOYES has told Everton chairman Bill Kenwright he is happy to help pick his successor.
Everton beat West Ham 2-0 in Moyes’ final home match before he takes over at Manchester United.
And after an emotional farewell at Goodison Park, Moyes offered his expertise to Kenwright, who gambled on plucking him from Preston in 2002 when he had no top-flight experience.
Moyes, 50, said: “The chairman made a good decision then and I’m sure he will now.
“I haven’t recommended anyone for the job. If he asks me for an opinion then I’ll give it to him.
“Whoever comes in here next will enjoy it because they are a good bunch of players.”
Skipper Phil Neville — also saying his Goodison goodbyes and now linked with a job under Moyes at Old Trafford — said: “I’ve never met a harder-working man than the gaffer. He just never switches off.”
Yesterday’s win guarantees Everton will finish ahead of rivals Liverpool in successive seasons for the first time since 1937.
