ROBERTO MANCINI was feeling gr-eight after his unfamiliar side claimed three points.
The City boss made EIGHT changes to his starting line-up.
He said: “We took a risk. We thought it was going to be difficult because of the changes.”
Mancini was delighted with Edin Dzeko’s 35th-minute winner that sealed City’s Champions League place for next season.
And while the City boss gave most of the team likely to face Wigan in Saturday’s FA Cup final the night off, he hinted the striker had given himself a chance of starting.
He said: “Edin start? He could. I’m happy for him, he scored an important goal. He’s scored important goals but I think he can do better.
“He’s a top striker, one of the best in Europe but he can do better than he has done this year.
“He needs to work hard. This year he didn’t play and maybe he finds that difficult. Does he have a chance to play on Saturday? Maybe.”
Baggies boss Steve Clarke was disappointed his team left empty-handed after wasting a series of chances.
He said: “A point was the least we deserved. I’m really pleased with my players because even though they made changes they still have quality players.”
