Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes has rejected speculation linking him with a return to Real Madrid following his side's stunning success against Barcelona.

Fresh from masterminding a 7-0 aggregate triumph for Bayern over Barca, Heynckes is being tipped to take over from Real boss Jose Mourinho, who appears certain to leave the Bernabeu in the summer.

Heynckes himself is set to retire in the summer with former Barca boss Pep Guardiola already confirmed as his replacement at the German champions but that has not stopped rumours of a Spanish return for the 67-year-old from emerging.

However, Heynckes, who had success with Real in a single season in charge in 1997/98 by winning the Champions League, has no plans to make a U-turn on his retirement plans.

"I turn 68 on May 9," he said.

"I've spent 50 years in football as a player and coach and some day you have to think that's enough.

"Madrid have not been in contact with me.

"Logically, my team this year has been playing at a world-class level and for that reason reporters speculate about my future, but it won't influence my decision after June 1."

Bayern will play Borussia Dortmund in this season's Champions League final at Wembley next month.

Dortmund accounted for Real in the semi-finals on Tuesday leading to multiple reports Mourinho was now pushing for a return to the Barclays Premier League with Chelsea.
