Buy Jove! Gunners want £25m Stevan

ARSENAL are in talks with Fiorentina over £25million-rated striker Stevan Jovetic.

The Montenegro forward, who played against England last month, wants to link up with Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal are hopeful of completing their first transfer of the summer as they look to use some of their £70m transfer kitty.

Yet they are unlikely to agree to the Italians’ demands and are offering below £20m.

Jovetic, 23, has scored 12 times in Serie A this season. He arrived in Florence in an £8m transfer from Serbian side Partizan Belgrade five years ago.

Jovetic has made it clear he not only wants to play in the Premier League but favours Arsenal.

And he will expect to double his £40,000- a-week salary.

Wenger is also looking for a goalkeeper, central defender and holding midfielder.
