Luciano Spalletti has pledged his future to Zenit St Petersburg, denying speculation he could replace Massimiliano Allegri  as AC Milan  coach.

Despite their resurgent form in 2013, Allegri's future at San Siro remains shrouded in doubt, but Spalletti has ruled out a possible return to Italy and insists the current Rossoneri boss has a future at the club.

“My return to Italy at the moment is not possible," he told Sky Sport Italia. "I will remain at Zenit, then if they decide to dispose of me, that is another matter. I can still see him [Allegri] at Milan at the end of the season."

Milan currently sits one point above Fiorentina in the race for the Champions League places, and Spalletti was full of praise for Vincenzo Montella's outfit for its form during the campaign.

“Fiorentina are playing very well, and this is what is making a difference and helping them -  to fight on a par with a top team like Milan," he said. "I'm glad that they are in a high league position, because it means that hard work pays off."

The former Roma boss also revealed his admiration for German football, insisting that Italy must look to learn from the current structure and philosophy in place there.

"I went to see some live matches [in Germany] , and you could tell that their football was destined to explode. There is enthusiasm, the stadiums are always full, and everything is transferred to the field," he added.

"It is a philosophy that, if you want, you can also export to Italy. You have to do it with young players. Udinese, for example, is a team that uses the policy."
