Thiago Silva: (right): Wants to wrap up La Liga
Barcelona midfielder Thiago is targeting a swift conclusion to the Primera Division title race after the Catalans' emphatic win at Real Zaragoza on Sunday night.
Barca made short work of their struggling opponents, winning 3-0 despite fielding a weakened starting XI which did not include the likes of Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, David Villa or Gerard Pique.
Thiago was one of the beneficiaries of coach Tito Vilanova's rotation policy, capping an impressive performance with a goal to consolidate a brace from young winger Cristian Tello.
The win maintained Barca's 13-point advantage over second-placed Real Madrid and Thiago is hoping they can clinch the title sooner rather than later, although he also claimed it was not yet a "done deal".
He told the club's official website: "We want to win La Liga as soon as possible, but the race isn't over yet.
"There are a lot of points still in play and we can't assume that this is a done deal."
Thiago was pleased Barca had safely negotiated a trip to La Romareda to face a side scrapping to preserve their top-flight status.
"Every team has a lot on the line at this point in the season and they are stronger when they play at home, that's why we're very pleased with today's win," he added.
"We were a complete team today in all aspects of the game, and the score reflects that."
Tello was pleased the fringe players had impressed in the absence of some of the club's high-profile stars.
He said: "We knew that this was going to be a difficult match, but we were very focused.
"I'm pleased that I scored two goals, but even more so that the team won.
"Even though this wasn't our usual starting line-up, the team played the same style of football. It shows that we are all here to contribute."
