Valladolid coach Miroslav Djukic has declared that his team are over the frustration of losing at Valencia in controversial circumstances last weekend and ready for their next league game at home to Getafe.

Jonas won the match for Valencia in added time after they had taken a throw-in which had in fact been awarded to Valladolid.

Valladolid requested that the final minute of the match be played again, but the Spanish Football Federation have rejected their proposal.

Talk of the incident dominated a press conference on Thursday, but Djukic insisted the players had put the incident behind them.

He said: "The Valencia game has been forgotten in the dressing room and now everyone is focusing on the game with Getafe.

"They are a dynamic team, in a confident mood and they are very strong on the counter-attack and they will make things difficult for us."

The coach also called on the fans inside the Jose Zorilla stadium to make their voices heard.

"It's important that our fans show as much support as we see other fans give their teams when we play away. We need them if we are to get the victory," he said.

Midfielder Jesus Rueda used a similar tone to his coach when speaking about the club's fans, who he feels have deserted the team as their form has started to dip with just one win in their last five games.

He told reporters: "We get the impression that we are all alone, that only we want to save ourselves.

"We are bound to have bad patches, we are a small team that has only just been promoted.

"If we give off the impression that we are in a bad situation, then the fans should come and help us. We miss our fans supporting us a bit. In some games we feel completely alone."

Getafe coach Luis Garcia hopes that match referee Miguel Angel Ayza Gamez will not feel sorry for Valladolid following the debacle at the Mestalla and will treat both teams equally.

He said: "I hope he shows personality, Ayza Gamez has a strong personality and I hope he'll try and ensure he isn't affected.

"That incident was very clear, but I hope it doesn't influence the game and that the referee knows his place."

The coach said his team had to go looking for all three points to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Europa League alive, and asked journalists to give the club more recognition for their impressive form and strong league position.

He said: "The other day we were saying that no one ever talks about Getafe. Well, talk about us more. We are eighth in the league, we have gone seven games without losing and we've kept six clean sheets in those games.

"The club is having, up until now, the best season in its history. Of course other teams will get more attention, but if we are doing a good job, then talk about us more."

Valladolid will be without centre-back Henrique Sereno, who is suspended, while Getafe midfielder Pedro Leon has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.
