Italy striker fuels Tottenham talk with London trip

Italy striker Pablo Osvaldo could be one step closer to joining Tottenham after he was reported to have travelled to London earlier this week.
The 27-year-old’s club side Roma took on Lazio in the Rome derby on Monday night but Osvaldo, who did not play, is believed to have flown to London with his girlfriend instead of attending the match at the Stadio Olimpico.
Osvaldo, who was born in Argentina, has seen his role at Roma diminish in recent weeks - his last league start was over a month ago in the 3-1 win against
Genoa - and his future at the club is in doubt.
Spurs have monitored the forward since his move to Italy from Espanyol in 2011 and manager Andre Villas-Boas is expected to strengthen his attacking options in the summer.
And reports of Osvaldo’s recent trip has heightened speculation he is on his way to White Hart Lane - although Juventus and Fiorentina are also on the trail of the £12m-rated striker.
