Freiburg have joined West Ham in the race to sign Germany Under-21 hotshot Daniel Ginczek.
The 21-year-old, who is contracted to Borussia Dortmund, has been in fine form on loan at German second tier side St Pauli this season.
His exploits - he has scored 13 times - have led to him attracting attention from across Europe, and talkSPORT revealed earlier this year that West Ham want to
bring him to east London.
But according to German newspaper Bild, Freiburg are also keen on him and are ready to challenge Sam Allardyce's side for his signature in the summer.
And with recent reports claiming Andy Carroll could revive his career at
Liverpool, Allardyce will be more keen than ever to ensure he boosts his attacking options at the end of the season.
