CRAZY TIMES ... Redknapp says last year was the right time to be made England boss
HARRY REDKNAPP insists he would reject any future approach to become England manager.
And the QPR manager blames Tottenham for his failure to succeed Fabio Capello as Three Lions boss last year.
Redknapp, 66, who was sacked in June after failing to agree a new contract, believes the cost of luring him from Spurs convinced the FA to appoint Roy Hodgson.
He said: “I wouldn’t take now or in the future. That was my time. Last year there were a lot of things that went against me.
“I had such a badly loaded contract in Tottenham’s favour it was crazy.”
Redknapp has also vowed to stay at QPR if they go down.
He added: “I’d stay with the club and have a go at it. But it is so difficult to go back up. There are some decent teams in the Championship.
“I know I should be preparing but I don’t even want to think about it.”
