Raith Rovers 2 :1 Greenock Morton - Morton lose ground in title race
Posted Saturday, March 30, 2013 by PA
Raith stunned promotion-chasing Morton with a 2-1 victory to record their second win in three games.
Rovers' upturn in form has now seen them pull away from the drop zone while they ended a three-match winning run for second-placed Morton, who now find themselves four points behind leaders Partick at the top of the First Division.
Brian Graham headed the hosts in front from Allan Walker's corner after 12 minutes and Michael Tidser's own goal from Jason Thomson's cross shortly before half-time doubled their advantage.
Kyle Wilkie reduced the arrears with 18 minutes remaining when he found the bottom corner from the left channel.
But the high-flying visitors could not find an equaliser and Raith held on for an improbable victory.
