Dumbarton made it three wins on the bounce with a 3-2 victory over 10-man Hamilton in a key clash at the bottom of the Scottish First Division.

Steven McDougall gave the visitors the lead in the 24th minute with a great strike from 18 yards and 10 minutes later Sons defender Gary Fisher was sent off for a foul on Paul McGinn.

Dumbarton doubled their advantage three minutes after the restart when Scott Agnew finished off smart work from first-half scorer McDougall.

Kevin Cuthbert in the Accies goal denied Scott Agnew a second before Andrew Ryan pulled a goal back for the home side with a long-range effort.

Dumbarton added a third six minutes from time through Paul McGinn's finish inside the box and survived a late scare when Hamilton top scorer Steven May slotted home from six yards three minutes later.
