Paris St-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti hopes David Beckham can extend his time at the French league leaders.

Former Manchester United star Beckham had 11 other offers when he left LA Galaxy but chose to join PSG on a five-month deal in January.

The 37-year-old ex-England captain, who is donating his £1m salary to charity, has made four appearances in Ligue 1 as a holding midfielder.

Ancelotti said: "I'm totally for David Beckham extending his contract."

PSG have spent more than £200m in the last 18 months and have a squad that includes Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Lucas Moura and Ezequiel Lavezzi.

Beckham has also previously played for Real Madrid and AC Milan.
