Benat agent denies contact with Bayern

The agent of Real Betis midfielder Benat Etxebarria has refuted speculation that Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have approached him over a summer transfer.
Benat, who began his career at Athletic Bilbao, has had an excellent season with Betis, who are currently 7th in La Liga and vying for a place in Europe.
His fine form has seen him linked with a move to Bayern, who will be under a new Spanish coach in Pep Guardiola from next season onwards, but the player's agent, Jose Vicente Biurrun, has denied speculation that the Allianz Arena outfit have made contact.
"I only know what I have read in the press," he told Estadio Deportivo.
"Neither the club nor the player have been contacted by Bayern."
Biurrun also hinted that his client would be perfectly happy to stay at the Benito Villamarin and see out the remainder of his contract, which is set to expire in the summer of 2014.
"There has been no change in recent months and I do not know if there will be any," he added. "I'm not fortune teller but anything could happen.
"Betis do not have to convince Benat to stay because he has another year left on his contract."
Although Bayern have had a dominant season and are currently 20 points clear at the top of the Bundesliga, as well as in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, they have been linked with a number of new arrivals in the summer, especially with Guardiola set to take over.
