Falkirk suffered back-to-back defeats as they went down 2-0 at home to Hamilton.
The visitors took the lead after 14 minutes when Jonathon Routledge converted Steven May's cross inside the penalty area.
The Accies continued to press and goalkeeper Graham Bowman did well to deny May before they eventually netted again just before the half-hour mark.
Striker Louis Longridge recorded only his third goal of the season with a neat strike into the bottom corner from 12 yards.
The hosts tried to rally through Lyle Taylor but he failed to test visiting keeper Kevin Cuthbert.
May came close to a third midway through the second half but Bowman produced a flying save to tip his effort round the post.
