Raith Rovers 0 : 2 Livingston - Russell's the hero
Posted Saturday, March 09, 2013 by PA
Striker Iain Russell scored his seventh goal in as many games as Livingston defeated Raith 2-0.
Livi took the lead after 20 minutes when defender Edward Malone was penalised for handball and Russell converted the spot kick for his 12th goal of the season.
The lead was doubled 10 minutes before the break after Scott Scougall found space 12 yards out and buried his drive into the bottom-right corner.
Rovers tried to hit back early in the second half but Greig Spence's effort did notseriously trouble Andrew McNeil.
But they continued to push and Brian Graham headed a Joseph Hamill cross narrowly wide.
Malone tried his luck from long range again late on but McNeil was equal to it.
