West Brom defender Jonas Olsson has stated that he is happy to stay at the club despite being linked with a move away.

Olsson joined the Baggies in 2008 and has since gone on to make over a 150 appearances for the club. In October 2012 the Swedish international signed a new and improved contract at the Hawthorns aimed at keeping the defender at the club till 2016.

However, the contract is thought include a minimum-fee release clause which can be triggered by interested clubs. Yet, despite both confirmed and rumoured interest from other clubs, the 29-year-old has stated that he is happy to remain at the club.

He told The Sun: "I don't like to speak about what is in my contract, it's confidential.

"But I made it clear that I am happy here when I signed for four years in September. I think that says it all.

"As I've said before, as a player you set goals with a team and as an individual and you always want to push higher in your career. I am no different to anyone else.

"I have dreams and ambitions to achieve - but I am very happy at the club and happy with what we have achieved this year and hopefully will achieve towards the end of the season."

The Baggies are ninth in the Premier League table with 10 games to go of the 2012-13 season.
