Accies end Morton away record

Leaders Morton saw their unbeaten away record ended with a 2-1 defeat to seventh-placed Hamilton.

It leaves the Ton two points clear of Partick Thistle, but the Jags have two games in hand.

Allan Moore's side had won seven and drawn five of their 12 away league games and they looked set for another three-point haul when David O'Brien placed a low drive into the bottom corner from just inside the area after eight minutes.

But Derek Gaston turned Gary Fisher's 35th-minute corner into his own net to level the scores.

The Accies - who had gone five games without a win - went ahead just before the hour-mark as Ziggy Gordon curled a stunning 25-yard effort into the top corner.

And the table-toppers failed to find an equaliser, with Peter Weatherson volleying wide from the edge of the area with their best chance of the second half.
