Andrea Ranocchia believes that Inter will reap the rewards from the boost that their 1-1 result with AC Milan last Sunday has given them.
The Nerazzurri sit fifth in Serie A, but had been on a poor run of form prior to their Derby della Madonnina, but the Italy international feels they can take heart from the draw.
"The derby left us with a good feeling; we reacted well when we went a goal down and finished the game positively. That gives us a big boost for the next game," he told Tuttosport.
"I'm still a little bruised [after the game last weekend], but I knew it would be this way. I bit the bullet and the medical staff did a great job of getting me on the pitch for the Milan derby."
Inter were close to signing John Carew this week, only for the move to fall through due to the player's lack of fitness, but Ranocchia is confident that the likes of Tommaso Rocchi can cover the injured Diego Milito.
"I don't know what the club will do now, that's something for them to decide," the defender continued.
"All we have to do is to get on with playing the game and leave other things to those at the top. We're well equipped up front though.
"We've got Rocchi and other players who I'm sure will come to the fore now."
