AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has praised his new teammate Mario Balotelli for acting more maturely than in the past.

The Italy international moved to San Siro in January and had to face the taunts of fans of his former club, Inter on Sunday, but he was able to ignore the abuse from the crowd.

"Balotelli has changed a lot over these years," Muntari told reporters. "He’s more mature, and you could see that on Sunday despite the pressure he was under and the difficulty of the moment.

"It’s just a shame he didn't score. It’s also a shame that we only got a draw. We should have won for ourselves and for our fans."

Muntari also said that he is delighted with life with the Rossoneri, having recovered from a knee injury that kept him out for a portion of the season. His top contribution to the club came in the first leg of Milan's UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie with Barcelona, when he scored the Rossoneri's second goal to provide a steeper advantage hearing into the second leg.

"This jersey is already a part of me. It’s in my blood," Muntari said.
