Galatasaray to launch fresh bid to buy Darren Bent

DARREN BENT will be offered an escape from his Aston Villa hell by Galatasaray.
The Turkish giants have failed to lure the England hitman in the past and are expected to launch a new bid this summer.
Galatasaray signed Didier Drogba on an 18-month deal last month but expect an appeal from Shanghai Shenhua over his truncated spell with the Chinese.
Whatever the outcome, the Istanbul club intend to press ahead and move for Bent, 29, who has been frozen out at Villa Park this season.
Boss Paul Lambert favours Christian Benteke up front and relegation-threatened Villa want to offload the £24million striker.
Owner Randy Lerner aims to trim the club’s costs and it is believed he will accept a fee in the region of £10m.
Relegation would signal a major clear-out at Villa with big-earners Stephen Ireland, Richard Dunne, Shay Given and Bent all being allowed to leave.
