Stranraer 1 : 1 Stenhousemuir - Stenhousemuir spurn their chances
Posted Saturday, February 23, 2013 by PA
Stranraer and Stenhousemuir shared the points for the third time this season after a 1-1 draw.
The last meeting at Stair Park in August ended with the same scoreline but this time it was the hosts who took the lead, going ahead after just three minutes.
Craig Malcolm's long-range effort was parried by Callum Reidford and Darren Gribben tucked in the rebound for his third goal since arriving back at the club.
Their advantage lasted only 19 minutes as Kevin McKinlay scored his second goal for the club by heading in from Mark Corcoran's corner.
The visitors pressed for a late winner that would have secured only their second away win of the campaign, but John Gemmell's free-kick was well held by Colin Stewart and the striker then headed wide in the last minute.
