Terry’s all bold Europa League prediction

JOHN TERRY backed his Chelsea side to win the Europa League after Eden Hazard fired them into the last 16.

The tie had looked to be heading for extra time until Hazard fired home in the SECOND minute of injury time.

And relieved skipper Terry declared: “We’re in it to win it! Qualification was an absolute must for us.

"We are very disappointed to be out of the Champions League and watching it on Tuesday and Wednesday nights is disappointing.

“But it’s motivation for us to kick on in this competition.

“It was not our best performance but we’re in the next round so we’re happy with that.

“You wondered if it was going to be our night.

“We left it as late as we could and sometimes that is the best way.

“It’s about being clinical and we showed that in the last minute.

“We kept going and going and going.

“Nothing went for us in the first 80 minutes. We had a lot of attempts on goal and didn’t get it but the persistence from the lads was fantastic.

“It was a great goal from Eden. He showed great sharpness and got the goal to cap it off.”
