Valencia will be without injured Adil Rami for its UEFA Champions League last 16 second-leg match against Paris Saint-Germain, as the center back is due to miss up to the next three weeks, according to an announcement on the club's official website
The 27-year-old defender will not feature in the trip to Parc de Princes after he tore a hamstring muscle in the 2-0 win over Mallorca at the weekend.
Valencia is looking to overcome a 2-1 deficit from the first leg at the Mestalla Stadium, which saw Rami’s late goal and Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s last-minute sending off give Los Che a chance in the tie.
The central defender is not expected to return to action until the home game against Real Betis, and he is also expected to miss the forthcoming league fixtures against Zaragoza, Levante and Athletic Bilbao.
Rami has been a prominent figure for his club this season, with 33 appearances in all competitions, including six in the Champions League. Valencia currently sits fifth in La Liga with the fourth Champions League spot currently filled by Malaga.
