The Cottagers boss has spoken of his joy that the veteran midfielder is ready to return to action after two injury-plagued seasons on the sidelines as his side approach the run-in
Fulham manager Martin Jol has spoken of his delight that Simon Davies has returned to first-team training after the injury problems which have plagued him over the past two seasons.
Davies has made only seven appearances in two years for the Cottagers, having been hit with a series of injuries that have hampered his repeated attempts to return to competitive action.
But the 33-year-old is now in full training and could soon be available for selection again - news Jol is more than happy to hear.
“I can't remember him playing it was so long ago,” the Dutchman told the Fulham and Hammersmith Chronicle. "Its very pleasing that he's back because I wanted to involve him.
"He's been injured all the time, he came back, played in the reserves and got injured again."
Davies may well be looking to feature as Fulham face Stoke City on February 23 before travelling to Sunderland a week later, as he aims to prove the worst of his injury problems are behind him.
