RISE 'N SCHARN ... Paul Scharner in Asda
PAUL SCHARNER searches for the best transfer deadline-day buy on the shelves of Wigan’s ASDA.
The Austrian centre-half was snapped shopping for coffee, just minutes after rejoining Wigan on loan from Hamburg yesterday.
And he also revealed he may be grabbing some hair dye, too, before his second debut at home against Southampton tomorrow.
Scharner, 32, who spent more than four years with the Latics before leaving in 2010,
declared: “It feels as though I’ve come home.
“My first spell had many happy memories. When I knew boss Roberto Martinez wanted me, it was easy to decide.
“There is no better place in England to come to.
“The last time I wore a Wigan shirt I dyed the word ‘THANX’ on the back of my head so I’m thinking maybe something like ‘I’M BACK’ this time.”
