Catania vs Fiorentina preview - Gomez looking to repeat the trick

Catania midfielder Alejandro Gomez will give his old boss no quarter when Vincenzo Montella returns to the Stadio Angelo Massimino.
Against all odds, Montella guided the Rossazzurri to an 11th-placed finish last season before leaving Sicily for Fiorentina in the summer.
The 38-year-old has certainly brought his own brand of enterprising football to La Viola, who are challenging for a Champions League place, but Catania have remained a force to be reckoned with under Rolando Maran.
Gomez told La Repubblica: "We banished our poor away form at Genoa and now we want to repeat the trick against La Viola in front of our own fans.
"Mr Maran is doing some great work and the players are all eager to help him in his first experience in Serie A.
"There will be some big players missing on Sunday but I'm convinced of the strength of our squad players."
Influential midfielder Francesco Lodi and striker Gonzalo Bergessio are two such players, with both men serving one-match suspensions, while Sergio Almiron, Fabio Sciacca and Giovanni Marchese struggle with injury.
Gomez has contributed five goals to Catania's cause this season and the Argentinian, who joined the club in 2010, would be happy to prolong his residence in southern Sicily.
"I feel good and I'm happy at Catania, I'm not interested in leaving," he added. "I'm only thinking about the present and I agree with the management who've decided to keep all the best players until at least June."
Gomez's compatriot Marcelo Larrondo, meanwhile, is eager to solve some of Fiorentina's current problems after joining on loan from Siena for the rest of the season.
La Viola are on the slide having lost two from three games and Montella's men could end the weekend in sixth place should AC Milan outperform them at Atalanta.
"In Florence I want to become the player I couldn't be in Siena," Larrondo said. "This is a fantastic opportunity for me, a giant leap in my career.
"I want to improve, to make an impression and to show what I can do. This is a dream and I'm happy it's come true."
Giuseppe Rossi, Ahmed Hegazi and Mattia Cassani are unavailable through injury, with Stevan Jovetic, Nenad Tomovic, Giulio Migliaccio and Borja Valero struggling for fitness.
