BUST-UP ... Eden Hazard with the ballboy
FA CHIEFS want to extend Eden Hazard’s three-game ban for kicking a ballboy.
Hazard’s bust-up with Swansea’s Charlie Morgan has been referred to an independent commission after an FA panel spent an ENTIRE day studying the incident.
Hazard had already decided not to appeal against his red card for wrestling Morgan to the ground during Wednesday’s Capital One Cup semi-final and kicking the ball from under him.
Referee Chris Foy reported it as violent conduct, which carries an automatic three-match ban.
But an FA statement said: “The standard punishment that would apply was clearly insufficient.
Chelsea will now compile evidence to support Hazard’s claims he kicked the ball and NOT the ballboy.
Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins is also in Hazard’s corner. He said: “It’s something we’d like to forget.”
