MANCHESTER CITY are the big movers in the world league table of richest football clubs.
Roberto Mancini’s team have moved up five places to seventh in the revenue stakes and have a top-10 spot for the first time.
City’s Premier League title-winning season combined with playing in the Champions League helped boost revenues by 51 per cent to £231.1million.
It was the biggest growth of any club in the 2011-12 Deloitte Football Money League.
Deloitte chief Austin Houlihan said: “City’s progress to the top of the English and European game means they are set to remain a top-10 club and will look to push on ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea for a top-five ranking.”
Real Madrid lead the way for a record-equalling eighth year.
