Alloa had to fight back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw at home to East Fife.
Paul McManus headed Robert Barr's corner into the arms of Alloa goalkeeper Scott Bain in the 19th minute but the same player made no mistake when he fired home Colin Samuel's right-wing cross four minutes later.
The Wasps were level 11 minutes from half-time when centre-back Jason Marr planted a Ryan McCord corner past Fifers goalkeeper Calum Antell.
Another set-piece provided a clear opening in the opening moments of the second half, with East Fife defender David White seeing his header fall just wide.
Athletic's Callum Gallagher might have stolen the points at the death but thrashed over from 12 yards.
