Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed the club are ready to battle Manchester United for Crystal Palace prodigy Wilfried Zaha.

The youngster, who made his England debut late last year, has been linked with a move away from Palace this month.

United appear to be frontrunners in the race to land Zaha and chief executive David Gill recently announced the club were in for him.

A £12m move has been mooted in a deal that would see the 20-year-old remain on loan at
Palace for the rest of the season but Arsenal are not ready to throw in the towel yet.

"We are looking at Zaha, but there has been no bid," Wenger said.

"Whenever you call about any player, Man United or Milan are also interested."

Wenger also confirmed the club's interest in Edinson Cavani but the Napoli striker, wanted by Manchester City and Chelsea, is priced in excess of £30m and that is likely to put Arsenal off.
