Brazil ace’s one-year jail sentence for ‘monkey’ jibe

A BRAZILIAN footie ace has been jailed for a year for calling an opposition player a “monkey” in an ugly racist bust-up.
Defender Danilo also spat in the face of Manoel in the top-flight clash in his homeland in 2010.
But, having pleaded guilty at his trial in Sao Paolo, it is thought likely the 28-year-old will escape a spell in jail, with the sentence getting reduced to a £100,000 fine on appeal.
He now plies his trade for Italian Serie A club Udinese.
