Messi: You can never write off Real

Lionel Messi warned that the La Liga title race is far from over despite Barcelona's commanding lead over Real Madrid.
Barcelona recorded their best start to a season so far with only two points dropped after 18 games. Combined with Real Madrid's shambolic start to the season, the Blaugrana managed to open up a 16-point lead over the defending La Liga champions and an 11-point lead over second-placed Atletico Madrid.
However, Messi is far from convinced that Barcelona have sealed up the league title and is wary on the potential threat Jose Mourinho's men can pose.
"Nothing is settled in La Liga. A few years back Madrid cut our lead drastically. We know you can never write them off," Messi said in an interview with ESPN.
"We need to continue as we are doing and not make the mistake of relaxing."
The recently-crowned four-time Ballon d'Or winner then went on to discuss his ambitions with Argentina, and admitted that he dreams of 2014 World Cup glory and hopes fans can support the national side.
"Nothing could compare with winning the World Cup with Argentina. To see everyone lauding the national team would be the best thing.
"Criticism hurts individuals. Being together makes a difference and that is missing for Argentina."
