John Terry targeting Arsenal clash for return to first team

JOHN TERRY is targeting Sunday week’s home game against Arsenal for his long-awaited return to Premier League action.
The Chelsea captain has missed his team’s last 16 games since stretching knee ligaments during the draw with Liverpool on November 11.
But the 32-year-old centre-half is due to play 45 minutes for the Blues’ Under-21s against Fulham at the club’s Cobham training ground this evening.
And if he does not suffer any adverse reaction he expects to return to full training tomorrow.
Terry’s recovery has been hampered by fluid on his knee and he has yet to play for interim boss Rafael Benitez.
Even if Terry comes through tonight’s Under-21 game safely, he will not be considered for Saturday’s trip to Stoke.
Benitez believes it is more important to have Terry available for the game against Arsenal on January 20.
