Atletico deny Falcao to Real reports

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has bristled at suggestions that the club have signed an agreement with Real Madrid for Radamel Falcao.
Regarded as one of the world's most lethal strikers, Falcao is reportedly on the shopping list of some of Europe's biggest clubs. Champions League winners Chelsea, Premier League champions Manchester City and La Liga winners Real Madrid are the three sides believed to be leading the chase for Falcao's signature, but quotes from the Columbian have indicated his intention to stay with Atletico Madrid until the end of the season.
However, Spanish television channel Punto Pelota recently reported that Falcao had already agreed to a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, with quotes from Cerezo stating that "Falcao has had something signed with Real Madrid for some time".
The Atletico president has come out to deny ever making such a declaration, insisting that the player had yet to decide on his future.
"I want to say that it is false that Falcao has an agreement with another team. I say it is false because I have [not] spoken to anyone regarding this subject. It is one thing to joke but it is another to make a something out of nothing. Above everything, I don't like having words put in my mouth that I have never said," Cerezo said to Marca.
"Like [club general manager] Miguel Angel Gil said, Falcao is our player and he has won the right to make his own decision. He has a contract with us and there is no need to talk nor invent anything else."
Angered by the situation, Cerezo hinted that such reports were created to disrupt the team's La Liga campaign.
"It seems that some want to destabilise Atletico and Falcao," he said.
"The day that something does occur, if that day happens at all which I doubt, then there will be something to talk about. But, there is no need to talk of just rumours."
