Third-placed Brechin entertain the side immediately above them Alloa at Glebe Park and manager Ray McKinnon has held off from naming his side until a late check on Craig Molloy's knee injury.

Alan Trouten and Aaron Murdoch continue to be absent through injury as well, with McKinnon looking for his men to build on a fine 4-1 win at Forfar on Wednesday.

He said: "We were good at Station Park especially at creating chances and I could not ask to go into such a tough game with a better performance behind us.

"We have been unbeaten at home since I came in and we want to keep that going.

"This should be a cracking game like the 2-2 draw at their place was."

Alloa have Graeme Holmes back in their squad after he completed a two-game suspension.

Full-back Michael Doyle, who had groin surgery this week, will be missing for the Wasps, with captain Darren Young subject to a fitness test after being out recently due to hamstring trouble.

Recreation Park manager Paul Hartley said: "The games are coming thick and fast but our players have responded well despite being low in numbers.

"We have won eight of our last 11 games and Brechin have been on a great run as well so it should be a fascinating contest.

"If we defend like we did against Stenhousemuir on Wednesday we will give ourselves a fantastic platform to go on and win the game."
