Partick Thistle have midfielder Ross Forbes available to face Hamilton after a one-match ban.

Stephen O'Donnell and Mark McGuigan both doubtful due to ankle injuries.

The Jags lost top spot at the weekend when they were held 1-1 by Airdrie and manager Jackie McNamara has identified where they went wrong.

"We did not start that game well enough and only got into our stride when we were a goal down," he said.

"Hamilton have been in really good form recently and have beaten us at their place twice this season so we have to be at a high tempo for the entire game.

"We have dropped down a place but there is no gloom and doom here as the season still has a long way to run."

Hamilton will be without Jordan Kirkpatrick at Firhill after a deal was agreed to let the attacking midfielder leave the club due to a lack of first-team action.

The injured trio of Jon McShane, Kieran Millar and Stephen Hendrie all remain out for a contest that manager Billy Reid is looking forward to.

He said: "We are playing well just now and having beaten Thistle already this season we can go there without any fear.

"We were excellent against Airdrie on Boxing Day and kick-off cannot come quick enough after our game at Livingston on Saturday was postponed.

"Thistle will remain in the title hunt all season but if we can upset their plans for a while I will not be disappointed."
