Alloa again include former Falkirk and Stirling striker Lewis Bonar in their squad as a trialist as they host Stenhousemuir.

Graeme Holmes misses out through suspension while Darren Young and Mark Docherty have again been ruled out with injuries.

James Doyle and Martin Grehan are struggling after featuring in the goalless draw against Ayr at the weekend despite carrying knocks.

Recreation Park Paul Hartley said: "Queen of the South may have extended their lead on Saturday but there is no-one feeling down about that here. We are a promoted side and are punching above our weight in a play-off place so we can look forward to 2013.

"Stenhousemuir won at our place and we won at theirs so it is shaping up like a tight contest."

Stenhousemuir manager Martyn Corrigan hopes 2013 will bring a change of fortune when it comes to injuries.

Eric Paton and John Gemmell remain sidelined against Alloa, however Corrigan is hoping Scott Buist, Andy Rodgers and Connor Fairley recover from the injuries and illness which saw them miss the weekend's 3-1 defeat to Queen of the South.

Winger Owen Ronald could be included as trialist again.

Corrigan said: "We have a good squad of players but the amount of injuries we have experienced is costing us.

"We won 2-0 at Alloa earlier in the season and having a fuller squad would help us get a similar result."
