Cavani not bothered by rejected bid

Napoli striker Edinson Cavani is not fazed by a recent bid for his services and insists that he remains focused on helping the Partenopei achieve success this season.
Club president Aurelio De Laurentiis revealed earlier this week that a £45 million offer came to take the Uruguayan away although he did not reveal the identity of the mystery club.
Since then, Cavani's release clause has been fixed at £52 million and the striker stated that he is not troubled by the high fee demanded in order to seal a move away from the club. Instead, he feels his ability merits such a high fee although he is just as happy featuring at the Stadio San Paolo.
"Nothing changes for me. [That value] is the result of many years of work and the fact that I have always given my best," Cavani told Uruguayan outlet Diario Salto.
"For me, the objectives remain the same in 2013, to try to have the best chance for success in every competition."
Napoli are currently behind Juventus, Fiorentina, Lazio and Inter Milan in the Serie A but had a superb start to the season. They are just two points adrift of second-placed Inter and face Viktoria Plzen in the last 32 of the Europa League.
