Wenger: Future is out of my hands

ARSENE WENGER admits his future at Arsenal is out of his hands.
The under-fire Gunners boss has seen his position put in jeopardy after a string of poor results.
But the Emirates chief did manage to sign young stars Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to new deals.
However, Wenger admits he was unable to assure them how long he would stay in charge as his current contract expires in June 2014.
He said: “I could not give them that assurance because that decision does not depend on me.
“The assurance I gave them was the club has faith in them and, at the moment, I decide the technical policy of the club.”
When asked if he would stay on beyond 2014, Wenger added: “At the moment, I envisage to do well this season.
“I want to do well for the idea of football I have for as long as I am here. After that, we will see.”
