Goalkeeper Grant Adam will miss Airdrie's home game against Falkirk on compassionate grounds.

Adam, on loan from St Mirren, will be attending the funeral for his father - former Brechin City and Forfar player Charlie.

Youngster Andrew Duncan is standing by to play between the sticks if required as Kenny Arthur needs to pass a fitness test before his selection is confirmed

The Diamonds, already without Cameron MacDonald, also have doubts over Gavin Griffin, Grant Evans, Willie McLaren, Jack Boyle and John Boyle.

Manager Jimmy Boyle said: "Falkirk are coming here boosted by three wins in a row so we need to be ready.

"There were periods in our game against Morton last Saturday that pleased me and if we can build on them then we will do well."

Fit-again duo Dale Fulton and David Weatherston return to the Falkirk squad.

The Bairns are now at full strength and technical director Alex Smith is looking for his side to keep charging up the table with a fourth straight win.

"We are playing with a bit of confidence and the young players in our team are showing what they have learned throughout the season," said Smith.

"We are heading away from the foot of the table and aiming for the top half and a win over Airdrie would help us get there.

"They took a point away from our place and it would be good to get that back - and more."
