Italy coach Cesare Prandelli has stated that Italian clubs have retained the 'bad habit' of sacking coaches before they can show their worth.

On Monday, Siena replaced Serse Cosmi with Giuseppe Iachini while Sampdoria parted ways with Ciro Ferrara making it seven Serie A coaching changes this season, much to the dismay and anger of Prandelli.

"I feel very sorry for Ciro,” Prandelli told reporters. "He left the national team set-up receiving many compliments. And now he's been replaced. I thought that these bad habits [of sacking coaches] might have gone, but no, it's now the law of football. We need to see patience in this game."

Prandelli noticeably coached seven different teams before taking his position of Italy national team trainer in 2010.
