Second Division leaders Queen of the South are without midfielder Paul Burns when they host Brechin City.

Burns injured a knee when the Doonhamers lost for the first time in the league on Wednesday when Alloa won 1-0.

Derek Young and Derek Lyle are added by manager Allan Johnston, who has told his men to move on quickly from the loss.

"We are having a tremendous season and we will carry on doing what we have been doing," he said. "We gave away a poor penalty against Alloa but there was not much else wrong so we can bounce back quickly.

"We will have to anyway as this game is a really tough contest as Brechin are in a great run of form just now."

Brechin are hoping to include the goal threat of midfielder Alan Trouten in their squad.

The summer signing from Ayr United has been missing for three weeks due to a hamstring injury, however he has trained this week and could return.

Missing for the Glebe Park side will be full-back Jonathan Brown who has a knee injury with manager Ray McKinnon not fooled by his opponents 1-0 defeat from Alloa in midweek.

McKinnon said: "They might have lost that game but they played really well.

"We are going into it in good form ourselves but what I saw from their players the other night told me that we are in for a really difficult game."
