AC Milan to rival Man United for Torino defender

AC Milan are ready to trump Manchester United and a string of Serie A sides in the race to sign Angelo Ogbonna.

The Italy international, who has been capped five times by his country, is the most sought after defender in Serie A following his consistent displays for Torino.

The 24-year-old is being monitored by Roma and Juventus, as well as United, but he recently hinted that he was in no hurry to leave Torino.

However, this has not deterred AC Milan, who are set to offer £13m for the centre-back in January.

The San Siro club, who are 14 points off top spot in Serie A, sold Thiago Silva to Paris Saint
Germain back in the summer and believe Ogbonna is the ideal replacement for the Brazil international.
