PREMIER League star Suso Fernandez was blasted by his fans yesterday after calling a team-mate “gay” on Twitter.
The Liverpool midfielder posted a snap of defender Jose Enrique, 26, having his teeth whitened.
The Spaniard, 19, wrote: “What f*** is he doing ?... This guy is gay.
“He has some mentals problems. He does everything except play football.”
Tess Blight tweeted: “Please don’t use the word gay as a put down.”
Ed Whitfield added: “Being gay isn’t a mental illness.”
Suso quickly removed the message and tweeted: “I didn’t mean it in that way about ‘gay’. Don’t want anyone to feel offended. Just joking. But anyway sorry.”
