Recall Lamps if you want to end boos, Rafa

'ARD LUCK STORY ... Lampard has a superb record this season but is now out of team
WHEN Rafa Benitez quit Valencia for Liverpool eight years ago, one of the major reasons was a row over a lamp.
So how ironic, then, that I reckon the one thing which could turn it all round for him at Stamford Bridge could be exactly that... a Lamp.
Back in 2004, Rafa fell out with Valencia’s sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch, after his request for a winger was knocked back, and they signed a second striker instead. His explanation of the row was that he had asked for a sofa and the club bought him a lamp.
Put in normal language, they’d bought him Nestor Fabian Canobbio rather than the one he REALLY wanted.
Well if he gets the chance to take a Lamp this time, he should jump at it — that is how crucial I think it is for both him and Chelsea to have Frank fit and available again. How often have you heard the saying “you don’t know what you’ve got ’til it’s gone?” And before anyone jumps on my case, I know Lamps has not actually gone anywhere — yet.
But my point is that if anyone was in doubt quite how important Frank is to the cause, they only need a quick glance at the results since he has been out with a calf injury.
He lasted just 18 minutes of the Champions League defeat at Shakhtar Donetsk and has spent the last six weeks fighting his way back.
I believe that day is just around the corner and Rafa could even have Lampard chomping at the bit for old club West Ham tomorrow.
I know Benitez is his own man, but he would be very wise listening to all those who reckon he should get Frank back as soon as he can.
