Lewis Small scored an injury-time winner as Falkirk edged past Hamilton 2-1 at the Falkirk Stadium.

Chances were at a premium in a poor first half with neither side able to create many meaningful opportunities.

Lyle Taylor had one of the hosts' best efforts on 19 minutes, but Kevin Cuthbert made a fine save to deny him.

The Accies keeper returned in similar form after the break, making a good stop to deny Thomas Grant moments after the restart.

Against the run of play, they were ahead on 58 minutes. Jonathan Page rose highest to head home an Alister Crawford cross.

But the Bairns drew level seven minutes from time when Conor McGrandles was well placed to finish after some good work by Stewart Murdoch.

The game looked to be heading for a stalemate before Small pounced in the final minute after Cuthbert spilled the ball into his path.
