TIM CAHILL is chasing a loan return to Everton in the New Year.
The Aussie midfielder was a cult figure in eight years at Goodison before his £1million move to New York Red Bulls in the summer.
But now Cahill would love to return to Merseyside on a short-term deal in January. Cahill, 32, admitted: “I am eager to come back.
“The main thing is that I get to enjoy the MLS but I also get the chance of joining back up in the Premier League and playing in the best league in the world.
“So hopefully something can be done. It would be nice.”
